My external viva-voce examinations are going on currently. That is precisely the reason why I am sitting here, in front of my computer at 5 in the morning, reading

~ a short story by O. Henry
I stumbled upon this quote, in a blog, I across when I was blog-hopping
“Trying to convince your examiner in viva is like fighting with a pig in mud. After a while, you realize that you are getting dirty and the pig is enjoying it”
This is pure coincidence
hehe..Nice quote.Attending vivas are always exciting. One day our EEE instructor showed up an electric circuit diagram to my friend and asked him “How do you think current passes into this circuit.” My friend`s reply “Sir!When I put the switch ON the current passes”
All the best for your viva
but the key according to me in most viva situations is one has to just be resolute, confident, firm and unyielding (i.e., even if one is unsure
)
And a coincidence! I recently bought a book of short stories “The Best of O Henry”.
And yes, the quote is quite right
Sathej
Regarding the quote, I have heard a better one, even if it is slightly crass:
“Never get into a pissin’ match with a skunk’
That quote is 1000000% true!
That quote is 1000000% true!
Another one which I follow, “If you can’t convince, confuse!!” Works out well
If you ccan’t dazzle them with your brilliance baffle them with your bullshit..anna’s t shirt quote..
You get dirty and make the pig turn away due to your stench.
Sweet smell of victory!
