- I read “The green mile” by Stephen King this Sunday. I walked with Paul Edgecombe along the dark corridors of the E-block of the Penitentiary; listened to Coffey say “I’m tired of bein on the road, lonely as a robin in the rain”; ran around the block, hunting for Steamboat Willy/Mr.Jingles; silently observed Elaine and Paul enjoy the sunset; wept with Dean, during Coffey’s execution; stumbled like Paul, after Coffey’s prayer; nodded my head in agreement with Paul’s last lines, in the book – “We each owe a death, there are no exceptions, but sometimes, oh God, the Green Mile is so long”
- Miracles do happen. Special people do make them happen.
- I desperately want to watch ‘Rock On’. The theatres here dont seem to have intentions of screening the movie. I lie in wait.
- I met another blogger friend of mine last weekend . We didnt get to exchange many words, yet it turned out to be as beautiful as any other meet with a good friend
- Most of the people I know seem to be extremely busy these days. Blogs aren’t getting updated frequently either.
- Popping a jelly into your mouth, feeling the jelly bob like a ball in your mouth, reluctantly chewing it and swallowing it is synonymous to receiving a beautiful bouquet, placing it in a vase, observing the flowers grow old and unwillingly throwing the withered flowers into the bin.
- Sitting in the solitary seat in the front, in a bus, watching the world move along with you is synonymous to sitting silently on a comfortable bed, holding hands with your best friend and listening to the rain tearing through the clouds; raring to reach the ground.
- The song ‘Yeh tumhari meri baatein’ from ‘Rock On’ leaves behind a feeling of longing.
- ‘Sister of my heart’ , by Chitra Divakaruni is a book I have been meaning to read. ‘Sister of my heart’, is a beautiful title, isn’t it ?
- I received this message a couple of days back – ‘The world’s most happiest friends never have the same characters. They just make the best understanding of their differences’. Very true, isn’t it ?
- Thoughts take a lot of time to dissolve. Sometimes they are insoluble, too.

Hey Nithya!
I hope they change their mind about not bringing Rock On! It was truly amazing… And I love that song sooo much (yeh tumhari meri baatein)…
Uploaded some ‘Day Two’ photos… Have a look!
Those are some great photos btw… where’d you get them from?
Take care,
Piu
p.s. “Sister of my Heart” is an amazing book… you must read it!
Lovely thoughts
Thoughts – sometimes insoluble. Yes, they are. Worse, when we don’t have pleasant thoughts, somebody always comes around to centrifuge them and they precipitate!
The line about the happiest friends not having same characters but the best understanding is soooo true
Sitting on a comfortable bed, on a rainy day, holding hands with your best friend and just watching through the window – ah, wonderful visualization, Nithya! Thats bliss. Words are unnecessary at such times. But sigh, yet again, no time to stand and stare.

Need I say more?
I think this is one of your best posts ever. EVER. And the pictures are so BEAUTIFUL. Especially the one of the train, and the close-up of the fountain.
I’m having an OK time at Kscope..it gets worse everyday. Lot of hidden darkness. But your post just gave me a lot of hope. Thank you.
Ps: Blogs WILL be updated shortly
Thanks again!
I’m hoping to watch Rock On! this weekend. Though, it’s running at cinemas here, I really haven’t had time to watch!
Jelly, jelly! I remember devouring obscene amounts of jelly when I was really little. But now…I don’t like them that much anymore. Or may be I’m not eating the right jelly? What do you eat? The only lasting childhood addictions are cream wafers and lollipops!
